Watchmaking has always been considered the pinnacle of micromechanics. A manufacture caliber developed entirely in-house is undoubtedly the gold standard. But just as with an original Picasso, exceptional craftsmanship comes at a price and remains out of reach for most people. Nevertheless, there is a desire to own something special—something that doesn’t come from anonymous mass production, but was designed, crafted, and passionately perfected by a single person. A hand-thrown plate, a custom-made piece of furniture, or even a watch with a personal story behind it. That is exactly what Leitner stands for. Each watch is created in a small, one-man operation. The case, dial, design, and numerous details are developed by me personally and manufactured using classic machine tools or produced in close collaboration with selected partners. Due to this deliberately small-scale production, I am naturally limited in what I can do. That is why, when it comes to movements, I rely on proven calibers from renowned manufacturers such as Sellita or Unitas. I don’t see this as a compromise, but rather as a conscious decision. These movements are considered reliable, durable, and serviceable worldwide. This allows me to focus my time and craftsmanship on what makes every Leitner watch unique: the design, the construction, the manufacturing, and the attention to detail. No watch leaves my workshop as a mass-produced item. Each model is produced in very limited quantities. Many versions are made only once and are never produced again in the same form. As a result, every Leitner tells its own story and remains a truly one-of-a-kind piece. A Leitner is not a watch designed to impress with industrial perfection. It is a watch for people who appreciate the value of genuine craftsmanship, limited production runs, and a personal story.
